Product description

Propyl gallate is the propyl ester of gallic acid, supplied as a white to creamy-white crystalline powder. It is a phenolic antioxidant that is sparingly soluble in water but soluble in oils and alcohols, and it inhibits oxidative rancidity.

Common applications include:

  • Antioxidant for edible fats, oils and fried foods
  • Stabiliser in cosmetics and personal-care products
